Installation & Setup Guide
This guide will walk you through installing the EnduroMetrics Edge data field on your Garmin Edge device and obtaining your unlock code. Follow these simple steps to get started.
Installation Steps
Before You Begin: Understanding Demo Mode
When you first install EnduroMetrics Edge, it will run in demo mode. After a few minutes of activity, you'll see a 'DEMO EXPIRED' screen showing your unique Device ID. Please take a photo of this screen - you'll need it in Step 6 to request your unlock code.
Important: Take a clear photo of the demo screen showing your Device ID!
How to Access EnduroMetrics Edge Data Field Settings
Install EnduroMetrics Edge
Download and install the data field from the Garmin Connect IQ Store to your Edge device:
- Open the Garmin Connect IQ app on your smartphone
- Search for "EnduroMetrics Edge" in the Connect IQ Store
- Download and sync the data field to your Edge device
Adding to your Activity Profile (see photos):
On your Edge device, press and hold your profile (e.g., ROAD)
Select "Data Screens" from the menu
Scroll down and press "Add New"
Find and select "Connect IQ" from the category list
Find "EnduroMetrics Edge" and check it
Press OK to save and sync your device
Navigate to My Device
Open the Garmin Connect IQ app and tap on the "My Device" tab at the bottom of the screen.
Access My Data Fields
In the device management screen, locate and tap on "My Data Fields" to view all installed data fields.
Open Data Field Settings
Find "EnduroMetrics Edge" in your data fields list and tap the "Settings" button to configure the data field.
Insert Unlock Code and Customize Your Endurance Metrics
(LTHR, FTP, MEP and FIT on or OFF)
After receiving your unlock code from Step 6, enter it in the Unlock Code field at the top of the settings screen.
Once unlocked, you can customize your personal endurance metrics:
- •LTHR: LTHR (Lactate Threshold Heart Rate) - Your heart rate at lactate threshold from a 30-minute race field test
- •FTP: FTP (Functional Threshold Power) - Your cycling power threshold in watts
- •MEP: MEP (Metabolic Efficiency Point) - Your metabolic efficiency point for fat/carb metabolism
- •FIT: FIT File Recording - Toggle on/off to save data to your FIT files
After entering your values, save the settings and sync your device. You're now ready to use EnduroMetrics Edge with your personalized training zones!

- 4.You'll receive a reply with your unique unlock code within 24-48 hours. Enter it in Step 5 to activate!
